The Enfield Chase land regeneration site, operated by Stockley Environmental Ltd, faced a challenge familiar to many waste management operations — site data was being managed entirely through Excel spreadsheets. The process was time-consuming, prone to human error, and offered no backup or data validation. Accurate reporting and reliable record-keeping were difficult to guarantee.
Regentrax engaged with the team at SEL to understand the problem in depth and, rather than adapting an existing off-the-shelf product, made the decision to build a purpose-built system from the ground up. The result was Sentinel.
Designed around the practical realities of a live site environment, Sentinel was built from the outset with accuracy, traceability and ease of use at its core. Every aspect of the system was shaped by the day-to-day needs of the people using it — from weighbridge operators entering data at the gate to management teams requiring reliable operational reporting.
That close working relationship with the staff at Enfield Chase has never stopped. Over the years, Regentrax has continued to develop Sentinel in direct response to operational feedback, evolving the platform into the system it is today — feature rich, fully compliant, straightforward to use, and excellent value for money.
What began as a solution to a specific operational problem has grown into a comprehensive waste management platform, built on a foundation of real-world experience and a genuine understanding of what site operators need.
